Each month, we showcase one of our outstanding customers. Our August spotlight shines on McComb High School’s Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program!
Maj. Michael Gladney, the Senior Army Instructor for the McComb (MS) High School JROTC wanted to offer his cadets an incentive to perform well. The retired Army veteran recalled the popularity of challenge coins in the Army.
“I retired from the Army with 29 years of service,” he said, “and challenge coins were always presented for excellence from the Commander or [Command Sergeant Major]. I wanted to introduce the Army custom to the cadets as a symbol of pride.”
And they’re not just given to anyone.
“They will have to earn it,” he said. “We will issue these to cadets that have completed an event with excellence, i.e., drill meets, cadet challenge or graduation.”
Major Gladney researched challenge coins online and found us. From that point on, the transaction went smoothly.
“I was greeted with respect and your company could fill my order. I explained that I worked for a high school and payment would be different from using a credit card,” he said. “The salesperson told me how to proceed, and everything worked out well.”
He appreciated the ease of ordering from us.
“The art department seemed in tune with my design, and I really appreciated that,” he said. “I am very pleased with the finished product. Delivery was very quick and the price was reasonable.”
As for the reaction to the custom coins, “The school administrators and the cadets love it … I look forward to working with your company in the future. I referred your company to another high school JROTC program.”
Thank you, Major Gladney, for your kind words. We’re happy to serve your custom coin needs, and look forward to working with you in the future as well!
