What do you do at TJM and how long have you worked here?

I do graphic artwork for a variety of products that we sell. I first started working with TJM in 2012 and spent a couple seasons here, then parted ways for a bit. I started back with the company this year, in February.

What type of artwork do you normally work on at TJM?

I primarily work on digital proofs for the production of Lapel and Trading Pins, along with the occasional t shirt design. Fortunately, I’ve had the opportunity to work on just about every type of core item that we produce, from pins, patches and challenge coins, to silicone wristbands, lanyards and can koozies, so, I feel pretty comfortable with whatever it is we are aiming to produce. (Ed. Note: Brian designed the official Ocala Comic Con shirts from earlier this year.)

What are your hobbies/interests outside of work?

I love to play music and I still enjoy drawing. I try to spend a lot of my time outside of work creating stuff. I like to read. Travel is probably what I am most passionate about. I love to experience places and the cultures that surround them and I love to be outside. I’m pretty basic, I like a lot of the same things other people like.

Any big, exciting things planned for the future?

I started apprenticing as a tattooer this year;  I am really excited about that. I have done 8 tattoos so far, and I learn something every time I do one. I work with two of my closest friends, Adam Roof and Cody Ray who, collectively, own Cobra Classic Tattoo, in downtown Ocala. I’ve been working toward this goal for a while and I’m pretty stoked to see it coming into fruition.

Anything else you’d like to tell the world about?

“Be excellent to each other.”
