Be prepared for production and shipping delays Lunar New Year observations can cause

Happy New Year!

With 2021 just getting under way, yes, we do mean this year. But there’s another new year coming up to be aware of as well.

The Lunar New Year, celebrated each year in China, begins in 2021 on February 12 and runs through February 26. During this time, Chinese factories shut down, as do customs offices and shipping facilities.

So what does that mean to you? It means you need to order now if you have a hard deadline coming up that you need custom products for.

The annual celebration shuts down Chinese factories where much, but not all, of our custom merchandise comes from. Customs offices and shipping facilities also shut down. This is something that affects the entire promotional product industry, not just us.

The holiday can delay shipments by up to a month or more. Between bottlenecks as customers rush to get their orders in before the deadline, the shutdowns and the backlog to catch up on afterward, an order placed in late January might not arrive until mid-March. And that’s not even including delays in customs or shipping.

If you can wait, that’s not a problem. But if you need products for an event in February, you need to get moving.

In other words, order NOW. The earlier you order, the better your chances of getting your products on time if you have a short time frame. Our information from our factories shows some of them are shutting down as soon as February 3.

Call your sales representative today. We will do everything in our power to ensure you receive your order when you need it. For some products, U.S. production is possible, albeit at a higher price.

Just let us know what you need – TODAY – and we’ll work with you every step of the way to get you the products you need in the timeframe you need them. But don’t wait! The clock is ticking.
