Executive Gifts Are Still a Great Idea, Even in 2020

Executive Gifts Are Still a Great Idea, Even in 2020

Even in a year as unprecedented as this one, executive gifts still reap rewards and goodwill

So we’re almost through the year that is 2020. It’s hardly what any of us expected last New Year’s Eve, is it? With quarantines, working from home, layoffs and not being able to see friends and loved ones, it’s been rough for all of us.

Still, there’s cause for hope, as each new year approaches. We’ve learned a lot about how to protect ourselves and others. We’ve adopted new ways of doing business, including much greater online ordering, curbside pickup, home delivery and more. We’re adapting to the current reality, with an eye toward a return to more personal communication when the pandemic ends.

And there’s hope that end will come. Multiple companies are making progress on vaccines against the coronavirus. Scientists and doctors are discovering more every day in the quest to prevent infections, reduce their severity and keep people healthy.

The important thing to keep in mind is that sooner or later, this crisis WILL end. And when it does, we’ll be ready to collaborate and cooperate in new ways.

That’s not to say the old ways have to all disappear. There are many time-tested ways to do business and succeed, even in a changed world. Custom executive gifts are one excellent example.

When you think of executive gifts, what do you think of? Desk sets? Golf umbrellas?

Those aren’t bad ideas, but consider going a bit more upscale this year. How about something like a leather executive writing pad imprinted with your company logo? A nice custom polo or hoodie?

Yes, we know, it’s been a tough year. Yes, we’ve all had to cut back on expenses in many areas. That’s why it’s even more important than ever to recognize and commemorate the employees, vendors and customers who have stuck with you.

Think about it. You have customers who have kept ordering from you, possibly even stretching their budgets this year to stay loyal to a long-time, trustworthy supplier. You have employees who have had to deal with lower revenues, reduced hours or layoffs, increased workloads and stress about health, child care, working from home and more. They’ve demonstrated their loyalty to your organization. Isn’t it worth stretching things a little to show them you appreciate that loyalty?

Bluetooth speakers are a great example of a higher end executive gift. They’re affordable, and something that says “we appreciate you” in a tangible way. Have them engraved or embossed with your company logo. The recipient gets a nice gift they can set on their desk, either at work or at home. Music, podcasts and more are accessible in a stylish way.

Looking for something suitable for just about any industry or organization? Food gifts are one of the most popular promotional items you can send this time of year. Did you know you can get custom chocolates made with your corporate logo imprinted on them?

High quality chocolates are a terrific way to impress your clients and remind them of your brand every time they reach into the box for a treat. More traditional food gifts such as sausage and cheese boxes also are popular, if less personal.

Want something more traditional for your sales staff, company officers or senior executives? Engraved desk items such as clocks, crystal and wooden desk accessories are sure to be appreciated.

If your workplace is more modern, go for electronic accessories. Just about everyone appreciates power blocks for on-the-go backup energy for phones and tablets. Custom phone and tablet cases are the modern equivalent of the leather-bound writing pad.

Some classic gifts never go out of style. A high quality pen or pen set engraved with the recipient’s name is an excellent choice. You can even add the company logo as well.

Leather goods are another classic. Personalized messenger bags show you value your staff’s contributions. Custom mugs and tumblers are perfect for either desk or home.

Custom apparel is a great addition to the gift list, especially heading into the winter months. Order some high-quality polos or hoodies with the business logo. These are great for select teams within the organization.

Looking for something for the boss? Consider items such as a personalized crystal wine cradle. Combine this elegant personalized item with a good bottle of wine for a present sure to please.

Boss is a teetotaler? How about an engraved crystal vase? They make an elegant addition to a classic credenza or on a desk.

The bottom line is, there’s a wide variety of executive gifts out there, and there’s sure to be one that’s idea for your workplace. From traditional engraved desk sets to up to the minute electronics, you can find custom gifts to fit any budget or style. Show your staff, customers, vendors, students or guests how much you appreciate their continued contributions to the success of your organization. Especially in times like these, everyone appreciates something that says they are a valued member of the team.

A good promotional products provider can help you choose the perfect executive gifts for anyone within your business orbit. From your best customers to your entire staff, there’s something that’s ideal for each of them.

Given the delays in processing and shipping this year, it’s not to early to order custom products. The more time you give your provider to produce and ship your executive gifts, the less stress you’ll have about getting them there on time for the holidays.
