Customer Spotlight: Gina Thomison, Moore High School
Celebrating the Performing Arts with custom patches
Rick Cundiff
You might say Gina Thomison has a flair for the dramatic. As Director of Theatre Arts at Moore (Oklahoma) High School, she has to. One of three educators named Transformative Teachers by the Oklahoma Arts Institute, she is the driving force behind the Moore High Theatre Department.
She’s always looking for new ways to motivate and reward her students as they pursue their theater dreams.
“Our high school is dedicated to fostering a vibrant performing arts community. Each year, we feature an exciting lineup of productions, including the one act competition, a play, a musical, and senior directed one-acts,” she said.
“In our commitment to inclusivity and collaboration, we double cast these performances, allowing for diverse participation among our talented students.
With approximately 60 cast members and 40 crew and tech students, we not only aim to help our students achieve their individual artistic goals, but also emphasize the importance of teamwork in creating professional-quality shows. Through these experiences, we nurture creativity, build confidence, and prepare our students for future endeavors in the performing arts.”
Last year, Thomison decided to try patches linked to each production as a way to reward her hard-working students.
“We started doing the patches last year. I saw [Patches4Less.com] online when I typed in patches,” she said. “ I decided to try it. I tested it on the first two patches. ‘Radium Girls’ was our One Act and ‘Puffs’ was our play.”
The first two patches from left on the jacket below were the results:

The patches proved to be an instant hit with Thomison and simplified her search for student gifts.
“I loved them so much,” she said of the patches. “I used to spend an outrageous amount of time trying to figure out what I wanted to do for [students’] gift. This has made it so much easier.”
The young thespians loved them too.
“They know they’re going to get a patch now (which is what they want) but they don’t know what it is going to look like and they are always so excited! They also love putting it on their letter jackets.”
Thomison added patches for the department’s costume bags as well. Those too proved popular with the students.

“This one is for our costume bags. I decided to buy costume bags this year, but I didn’t want them to get mixed up with any of the [other] costume bags. I ordered this patch to put on them. The students are so impressed they want me to order one for them to put on their letter jackets also.”
A newcomer to custom patches, Thomison was happy with every aspect of our performance.
This is the first time I have purchased patches from you or anyone else. ’m so impressed with the quality of your product that I don’t need to look anywhere else, The quality is amazing, the delivery time is so quick and the price is good! I am definitely going to continue ordering this product again and again.”
Thank you so much Gina for your vote of confidence in TJM. We look forward to continuing to serve your department for years to come. And as supporters of the arts, we thank you for your commitment to excellence. Tell your students we said “break a leg” in their upcoming performance of “The Sound of Music”!
