What do you do at TJM and how long have you worked here?

I am the accounting/HR manager and I have worked for TJM for 5 years.

What's your favorite aspect of working here?

I love the camaraderie at TJM. The owners are wonderful people to work for and I am proud to call them my friends. They go above and beyond to build team spirit within the company. The company has grown just about twice in size since I have been here and the owners still do things for the employees as if this was a small company. I consider this company part of my family, as I'm sure most others do also. TJM is continuing to grow and I am so excited to be a part of it.

Tell us a little about your family.

My husband Tim and I just celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary. We have four grown children and seven grandchildren. Our eldest son, Jeffrey, is a Senior Chief and has been in the Navy for 25 years. He is working on becoming Master Chief before he retires in 3 years. Our daughter is local, and is a teacher at a Christian school, and her husband is a Captain for Marion County Fire Rescue. Our next son lives with his wife and children in Virginia Beach, VA. He works for the power company, and she is a teacher at Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters in Norfolk. Our youngest son is also in the Navy, and he is stationed at Tinker Air Force Base (yes, he's in the Navy) in Oklahoma. We are very blessed parents!

What are your hobbies/interests outside of work?

My biggest hobby would be my grandchildren. Out of seven that we have, only two are local, and they certainly keep us busy. Kelsey and Dane are both athletes and between volleyball, track, soccer and basketball throughout the year, our evenings are pretty much spent cheering them and their teams on. My husband and I both love to travel, and with children, grandchildren and sisters in four other states we do our share of traveling. We also are avid motorcycle riders and also enjoy summer time out on our boat. Whether it is fishing or scalloping we enjoy being out on the water.

What do you like most about living in central Florida?

No SNOW. I was born and raised in the Adirondacks, upstate New York. I moved to Florida in 1979 and never looked back. I love the weather here. I like to visit back home to see my family but if it is during the winter months, only briefly.

Any exciting things planned in the future?

We plan on going to Europe on a 12 night cruise next year and hopefully, also visiting Hawaii. Two more items to check off my bucket list!
