Thanksgiving 2025: What We're Thankful For

Our annual look at what we're grateful for at Thanksgiving

Rick Cundiff

It’s a tradition here at TJM that we ask our staff every November what we’re thankful for this year. Here’s what we had to say as Thanksgiving 2025 approaches:

Courtney Cole

I am always thankful for my family and my kids being healthy. This year I am thankful for what we have, and the new friends we have made. Not everyone is as fortunate, and I got to experience this firsthand not long ago. It made me really reflect on my life and realize that cherishing the small things and the time spent with family and friends is really what is most important in life.

I am thankful for my supportive wife and my amazing daughter.  My two girls are the light of my life, and bring me such joy. I am so lucky and so thankful to be blessed with the family I have. That also extends to my parents and siblings, as well as those close friends I consider family. Without this group, I don't know how I would make it all work and get through this wild ride we call life.

As always, I’m very thankful for my family and faith.

Navigating the family-of-five challenges has been a new opportunity. We recently took a big family vacation up north to visit family and friends, and I couldn't have asked for a better two weeks. I was so thankful for the time we got and the memories we made with the kids.

I'm thankful to have my brother and his family closer to home. My kids and his have been able to develop a relationship they couldn't previously, and that has been such a wonder to experience.

While it’s been a challenging year, I still have much to be thankful for. I’m grateful for my wonderful wife, who, after two very busy years, completed her doctorate. I’m also thankful that she’s been keeping our household running solo for much of the year.

I’m thankful our puppy, Stromboli, continues to greet the world with a sense of wonder and amazement every day. He’s shown me many things in our daily walks. And I’m grateful to our three cats who keep him from getting too out of control.

I’m grateful for my employment with TJM, and that it has enabled me to care for my 87-year-old father when he’s needed me this year. And I’m tremendously thankful for the fact that he’s still with us.

Sean Bottass

This year was definitely a learning experience for me. I was able to realize a lot about myself and take a step back from the stressing and worrying.

With that said, I’m thankful for the individuals who have allowed me to be myself and given me the chance to really learn about the world, instead of diminishing me or making me feel like I’m not capable.
